WiFiA J-35 built in 1987. Her design, by Rod Johnstone, hit a sweet spot of speed, ease of handling, heavy weather capability, downwind stability, and a very high fun factor. She has a roomy cockpit and cabin, easily accommodating 6 guests. The J-35 was voted into the Sailboat Hall of Fame in 1999. The two previous owners raced the sailboat on the East Coast, compiling an outstanding record of success. Ever Since purchasing it in 2007, I have made many significant upgrades and improvements including a new engine, sails, rebuilt mast, new standing rigging, and major running rigging refit for improved line handling and safety.

After retiring from a career as an exploration geologist, I became a Coast Guard licensed charter boat captain. This career change allowed me to share both my love of the sea and my beautiful boat with a wide range of people. My sailing experience includes single handed voyages to San Francisco to Hawaii and Glacier Bay, Alaska. Over the past four years I have taken over 600 clients on thrilling sailing excursions throughout San Francisco Bay and spectacular coastal waters with voyages as far as Monterey. For those who have some sailing skills or want to learn, I offer ample opportunity to take the helm and actively sail my yacht.
